By the time I am writing this River is almost 2 and a half months old. And today... well... coincidently today is also Father's Day.... my first official Father's Day as a father. Often times I have heard people say how fascinating the time passes when you are a parent. How you wish to hold on so dearly to this moments that you know in the case of a child at times last only in short weeks. The baby we cared for at the time of the birth has grown into a much more aware, interactive, adorable, and personable being. Already River has a personality. It’s fascinating. The way he smiles. The way he is now starting to laugh. Tonight actually, I feel like he had his first good laugh. I was holding him and laughing to him and he actually started to do it back.
